Ticket reservation only two months in advance…… Ministry of Railways with new law
Railways has changed the Railway Ticket Reservation Act in the country. Tickets can now be pre-booked only 60 days before the date of travel. It was 120 days till now. The revised law will come into effect from November 1.
The Railways has clarified the policy and said that the new decision is also taken into account for those who decide to travel quickly and the aim is to provide maximum comfortable travel experience to the passengers. The new policy is not applicable for tickets booked in advance till October 31.
The Railways also informed that there has been no change in the policy of 365 days booking for foreigners in the case of daytime trains like Taj Express and Gomti Express.
The Railways also stated that AI Kuti will be used to further facilitate the operations of the Railways. Railways says that the AI model will help the passengers to know about the confirmation possibilities even before booking the train ticket and can arrange the journey accordingly.
