App Olympics

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council announced the App Olympics to find the best applications.

Anyone of any age can compete individually or in teams from anywhere in the world. The competition is divided into four categories: Best Youth App, Most Effective App, Most Innovative App and Best Mobile Gaming App.

Those who are interested in participating in the competition should register their names before 13th of next month. The winners will receive prizes worth AED 5,50,000. Also 6 months training will be provided. 1000 Emiratis will be trained in coding, app development and business model creation through Emirati Training Academy. Sheikh Hamdan said the goal is to triple the number of app developers by next year and support 100 national projects in the field.

Through an online training program called ‘Olympian Mind Set’, the contestants will be helped to create the initial design of the app. For details: https://createapps.ae/app-olympics
